About
Hi, I’m Billy, founder of BCG performance. This is a space where I share what I have learnt about performance and how we can all take steps to bring us closer to reaching our potential through science and real world experience.
My fascination with human performance has always been driven by a deep curiosity about what enables people to go beyond perceived limits, physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’ve seen how ordinary individuals can achieve extraordinary things when they step beyond comfort and commit to growth, and that belief has shaped every chapter of my life.
From managing and developing teams in the RAF, competing in endurance events, to serving with the RAF Mountain Rescue Service, and studying for a master’s degree in Performance Psychology, I’ve continually sought challenges that test me and reveal what I’m capable of.
Whether skydiving, rock climbing, or running ultra marathons, I’ve always been drawn to the edge, that place where fear meets focus, and challenge becomes growth. A near-miss skydiving incident taught me the importance of composure and presence under pressure, while falling short during Special Forces selection became a powerful lesson in vulnerability, perseverance, and reflection. Both experiences reminded me that performance isn’t about perfection, it’s about the courage to keep learning, adapting, and pushing forward when outcomes are uncertain.
Those lessons have guided every pursuit since, from endurance sports to entrepreneurship and academic study, reinforcing my belief that our limits are rarely where we think they are. The moments I feel most alive are when I see others break through their own barriers, discovering strength, focus, and purpose they didn’t know they had.
Now, through my work and studies, my mission is simple:
To understand what fuels human potential and to help others realise the extraordinary abilities within themselves.
